ALEPH provides many opportunities for adult lay learners to build leadership skills and advance their spiritual development through focused programs of study and practice.

The ALEPH Kesher Program provides Renewal/Birthright study tours to Israel, free of charge to young adults ages 18-26 who have not previously participated in an organized Israel program. Tours focus on peace and environmental issues as well as prayer, learning and building a personal connection with the Holy Land.

The ALEPH Sage-ing Project offers semnars for elders and their loved ones as well as trainings for people in the caring professions.

C-DEEP: Center for Devotional Energy and Ecstatic Practice offers an experiential, practical and embodied spirituality that is anchored in theory and text through retreats held in Jemez Springs, New Mexico, about an hour from the Albuquerque airport. Programs include Kol Zimra training for chant leaders as well as programs for individual spiritual development. C-DEEP workshops can also be brought to your community

Rodef Shalom School for Peace is designed to empower Jews to work as peace builders in their communities. The program offers six weeks of training: two-week long sessions, twice a year, held over a period of three years.

Ruach HaAretz Retreat sponsors a summer gathering for all ages as well as periodic specialized retreats and trainings.

TeleCourses: The ALEPH Bet Midrash offers a program of distance learning opportunities with top Jewish Renewal and guest teachers. Learn in the comfort and privacy of your home with fellow students from around the world. ALEPH members may also participate in an ongoing free Shabbat Torah study program.

The Davennen' Leadership Training Institute (DLTI) offers a unique learning experience to help those who lead worship and other communal events in a Jewish context. Through a two-year training consisting of four five-day retreats you will learn to deepen the quality of communal prayer so that it activates the body, touches the heart, engages the mind and nourishes genuine spiritual growth and insight. Jewish clergy or lay leaders may apply.

Special Programs for ALEPH-Affiliated Communities Upon request, ALEPH offers personalized staff consultation to affiliated communities on the following topics:

  • Fundraising and building long term financial health
  • Board recruitment, development, role definition and activation
